Location is key for this hotel, you are literally above the shin osaka station and a 30m walk from the hotel to the shin osaka shopping entrance. We chose this place as our first time in osaka and we new we would mostly be doing day trips out of the city and needed quick access to the shinkansen which saved us a load of time staying here, 13 minutes to kyoto on the shinkansen so good! The rooms are clean and big and we had a nice view staying on the 15th floor, I've seen some reviews about the noise from the train station and yes you can feel the trains going underneath even on the 15th floor but it didn't once disturb my sleep and you barely notice it, recommend choosing the higher floor option when booking it would probably get worse the lower you stay, the front desk so offer ear plugs and there is plenty of warning about it prior to booking. You are 20 minutes on the train from the dotonburi area on the M line.

We chose Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station for it's location. We knew it would be a great standard, being a Marriott hotel, but it was so much better than anticipated. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable we had during our 3 weeks in Japan, and the room size was very comfortable for 3 adults and all our suitcases. We didn't eat at the hotel. The location was excellent, using Shin-Osaka station as our base, we travelled very easily all over Osaka and beyond, and it was great being able to walk very easily back to our hotel after a long day. It was also fabulous to be able to transport our bags easily onto the train to Kansai Airport - brilliant. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. I have seen others complain about the train noises - we didn't find this an issue at all, and quite frankly, don't stay at a hotel literally AT a train station if you don't want to hear them.

Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station is located right next to the JR Shinkansen Shin-Osaka train station (North exit of Shin-Osaka's Station - exit reference is the Tully's coffee) which is very convenient to explore Osaka's main atractions (either by Subway or Shinkansen). Subway line is Midosuji which leads directly to both Umeda and Dotonbori areas. The hotel was clean and the staff was super, super kind and helpful. They offered himselves to carry our bags to the room. We asked for the "In room dining" service which was very quick and the food was so tasty. Tea, coffee and bottles of water available in the room. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Elevator available. Power Wi-Fi connection.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and booked the three-bed room, which was spacious and clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and sweet, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. One of the best things about this hotel is its convenient location near the train station, making it easy to get around. However, being so close to the station, you can hear the sound of trains from the room, which might be a concern for light sleepers. The only other downside was the limited options for in-room dining and breakfast. Despite that, I was very satisfied with my stay and would recommend this hotel for its great service, cleanliness, and excellent location.”

Everything was great - location is central and the room is spacious and clean with great staff service. Just a note - from the shin osaka station, follow the signs to the north entrance and you will reach an escalator in front of McD. Don't go down the escalator as there is actually a door right beside McD (behind the escalator) that leads to the main entrance of the hotel without having to drag it down the stairs and across the road.
